Ride the Train!

See you this season!

See our schedule, then follow the link to trip descriptions for details and pick the trip that fits your needs. You can make reservations online or by contacting our reservations manager, 541.437.3652.

Please note: We have reduced the number of passengers per trip, to allow for more distance between passengers. On rides that are sold out, you may be sharing a table with other passengers. It's a great opportunity to make new friends.

To book a seat, please select "Book Online" from the main menu or contact the Elgin Depot. Our attendant is available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to noon, and can help if you need additional information or would like to buy a gift certificate.

The train operates from the Elgin Depot, 300 Depot Street, Elgin, Oregon. The depot was built in 2012 in a style reminiscent of the original historic depot. It contains a gift shop, ticket office, rest rooms and historical railroad artifacts and is open to visitors varying days and hours; opening extended hours on train days and with some alterations to the hours and days during the season. Please call 541.437.3652 to speak with the depot attendant.

Are you looking for a fun group activity or venue for your special event? Entire cars can be reserved for groups, or charter the whole train for an unforgettable special event. Motor coach parking is available at the north end of the depot. The depot itself is available for meetings and small events. Please call 541.437.3652 for more information.

Service dogs: We do not allow pets on the train. However, service dogs, with special training to assist their handler, are welcome. To smooth the process of checking in at the depot and to help our volunteers seat you and your dog, please let us know in advance that your animal will be accompanying you. We ask that service dogs wear a vest so our volunteers and fellow passengers know they are on the job. They must be on a leash at all times.

Sometimes things occur beyond our control that require us to make changes to the train schedule, and in very rare instances, even cancel rides. We do everything in our power to keep this from happening, but if it should, you will be offered the opportunity to transfer your tickets to another scheduled ride, or the price of your ticket purchases will be refunded. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you on the train.
