We hope everyone is taking all the necessary precautions to keep themselves and their communities safe during the pandemic and wildfire season. The health and well-being of the public is first and foremost, and we are closely monitoring the situations as they relate to the Eagle Cap Excursion Train. COVID-19 safety precautions are still in effect while on the train. Face masks that fully cover the mouth and nose are required in the depot, in line and on the train at all times, except when actively eating or drinking. Thank you for helping us honor this state regulation to which we must comply. Following the mask mandate is also a curtesy to those around us who are more vulnerable to the disease.
Our operations and WURA track crews took advantage of the pandemic down time in 2020 to do maintenance work, make improvements and complete repairs to train equipment and track. We thank them. Their work and the investment from Wallowa Union Rail Authority are making it possible to continue offering train rides each season!
