The Mother’s Day Brunch Train is always popular and seats are limited. Departing Sunday, May 12, from the Elgin depot at 10 a.m., this trip is the only opportunity each year to see the hidden Grande Ronde and lower Wallowa River canyons dressed in spring greens and wild flowers. The scenery is spectacular throughout the 3.5 hour trip. The delicious brunch is prepared by Ten Depot Street Restaurant of La Grande and features breakfast and lunch entrees, fruit, pastries and beverages. Tickets are $80 for adults, 17 to 59; $75 for Seniors, 60 years and over; and $40 for youth, 3 to 16 years of age. Children under three ride for free.
