The excursion train’s spring/summer season ended with the ride July 19. We take the hottest weeks of summer off and are preparing for a very busy fall season. The fun starts with a train robbery by the High Country Outlaws, Saturday, August 30. The ride is selling fast, so don’t delay in booking your seats if you are hoping to be on that ride!

After that, we will run every Saturday through September and October, plus one Wednesday. The last ride of the year is a Minam Bonus – our longest ride, going down the Grande Ronde River to Rondowa, then up the Wallowa River to Minam, before returning to Elgin. Tickets for every ride include our popular boxed lunch.

Autumn is a beautiful season in Northeast Oregon and the scenery from the train is truly outstanding.
